The hosts India took firm control of the opening round against New Zealand after second day on Friday. After
scoring 438, powered by Cheteshwar Pujara solid hit 159 in the first
innings, the Indian spinners took charge of eliminating five batters and
end the day with the opposition trailing by 332. 133 runs are needed to avoid a continuation.
Most of the day was highlighted by Pujara who resumed their score of 119 for the night, teamed with captain MS Dhoni.
