Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar thanked the fans
for their overwhelming support after he announced his retirement from
ODIs.
He tweeted saying, "Words are not enough to express my thanks to each of you for all the love & support I have received over the years...& especially now in the last couple of days. Your expressions have brought joy to my heart...& at times a tear to my eye!
In another tweet, he said, "Those magical moments of our ODI journey will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you so much."
On Sunday, Tendulkar announced his retirement in a statement released by the BCCI which said, "I have decided to retire from the ODI format of the game. I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup wining Indian team. The preparatory process to defend the World Cup in 2015 should begin early and in right earnest. I would like to wish the team all the very best for the future. I am eternally grateful to all my well wishers for their unconditional support and love over the years."
