Two best teams are in CLT20 final: Haddin

Sydney Sixers captain Brad Haddin believes his side have a chance of lifting the Champions League Twenty20 title on Sunday, provided they stick to their plans, reports Yahoo Eurosport.

The Australia international skippered his side to a dramatic two-wicket win over the Titans on Friday, setting up a final date with the Lions at Johannesburg.

That they had to secure the win on the last ball, though, shows they still have work to do, but Haddin knows if they can follow their orders, they have a chance.

Speaking after Pat Cummins struck the winning runs, Haddin said: "We made things very hard for ourselves. But in the end we won. We have a final to go to on Sunday and that is totally different pressure."

He added: "We got away with one, we can't hide behind that. But life goes on and we won the cricket game and now we are going to the final on Sunday.

"All that we have to do is execute our plans. Whatever our plans are we have to make sure we execute them and that's all we have got to do.

"I think the two best teams are in the finals, so that's a good endorsement for the tournament. Our guys are very excited up in the change room; so let's go to the finals now."

Tossing the coin with Haddin will be Alviro Petersen, whose Lions side had a more sedate 22-run last-four victory over Delhi.

Sydney are the only side to have beaten the Lions in this tournament, and Petersen would like to right that wrong.

"The only game we lost in this tournament has been to the Sixers so we would like to put one over them," he said.

"What I can assure you is the team will be up for it once more, the boys are hungry. We are playing good cricket. We know that the road that we are on doesn't end here. We are focused on preparing for what lies ahead, and that will be our real focus."
