Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin off party of 12 for 85 against New
Zealand in the first Test at Hyderabad has helped him jump 19 places to a
career-best position number 25 in the ranking of the ICC Test players.
Ashwin periods of six to 31 and six for 54 led his team to a victory entries and 115 races, and so went for the best player of the match. The victory also gave India a 1-0 lead in the series of two tests.
Ashwin supported his performance to bowl with a hand blow 37 in India's total of 438. The show with the bat helped Ashwin climb three places to 78 in the ranking of Test batsmen while the combined performance with the bat and the ball has been given a career-high 12th place (up by 14 places) in testing all SUVs for classification.
Teammate Ashwin, left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha, who finished with a long party of six for 92, also has jumped six places to 15th spot, which is also his career best ranking.
