AB de Villiers proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Swart at the Taj
Mahal during last year's T20-League. And now a year on, the South
African cricket star has tied the knot with his long-time acquaintance
in Johannesburg on Saturday. Swart, 24, who lives and works in Cape
Town, met de Villiers six years ago at her father's lodge in Limpopo
(north South Africa).
However, there will be little time for de Villers for his honeymoon as the batsman is set to appear for his local franchisee Titans in the semifinals of the national Twenty20 tournament. This means that his T20-League team Bangalore will miss his services at least for their opening encounter against Mumbai on April 4.
It is also possible that he could potentially land in India only after April 10th, if the Titans qualify for the final, which is scheduled for April 7. In de Villiers absence, either Sri Lankan Tillakaratne Dilshan or Tamil Nadu's Arun Karthik will do the wicketkeeping duty.
