Sri Lanka thrashed Bangladesh in the first ODI and then the next ODI got washed off by rain. Sri Lanka now will be looking to seal the series in the final ODI of the series at the Pallekele. Bangladesh have played competitive cricket so far in the series but were outplayed in the first ODI. Tillakaratne Dilshan smashed a brilliant century to give Sri Lanka a 1-0 lead in the series. Tamim Iqbal too scored the century in first ODI but is ruled of the remaining series due to hairline fracture on his right thumb. Jahurul Islam replaced the opener in the 2nd ODI but did not get a chance to bat. Bangladesh had also included the 21-year-old all-rounder Mominul Haque in place of Abul Hasan in the 2nd ODI and Haque too would be a part of the playing XI for the third ODI.
