A scintillating display by Delhi Daredevils' bowling attack and a controlled innings by Virender Sehwag helped Delhi Daredevils edge out Perth Scorchers by three wickets with three deliveries to spare in a low-scoring thriller at Cape Town on Sunday.
With this win, the Daredevils have kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals of the Champions League Twenty20.
In the second game at the same venue, Kolkata Knight Riders signed off from the tournament with a massive 99-run win over Titans.
Sent into bat, the IPL champions scored a commanding 188 for 5 with captain Gautam Gambhir hitting highest 44 off 36 balls in match where Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan did not take part. But the first victory of Kolkata was fashioned by Laxmapati Balaji who claimed 4-19. The home side were bowled out for 89 that put them in tricky situation for a place in the semifinals from Group A.
