VVS Laxman says goodbye to International Cricket

India cricketer Vangipurappu Venkata Sai Laxman `s 16 years of test run ended after the Hyderabadi batsman announced his retirement with immediate effect on Saturday.

"
I feel it is the right time to move on. It is the right time to give the opportunity for youngsters at home. It has been an emotional and memorable journey for me," he told a press conference after announcing his retirement.

Laxman was underfire following below par performances on the tour of India in England and Australia recently. Of 134 test matches he played, Laxman has scored 8781 runs.

Laxman scored his first Test half-century (51) in the second innings of his debut match against South Africans in 1996. However, it took another 29 innings before he got his first taste one hundred to one remarkable 167 against Australia in Sydney Test.

Since then, Laxman has come to be 16, while hundreds more reaping a total of 56/2 centuries, his highest being 281 against Australia's monumental in Calcutta.

Still now India couldn't find replacement for Gangully. How they will find replacements for Dravid and Laxman at a time. Only Kohli and Pujara showed some good signs in few matches they played. .Yuraj and Raina played few good knocks and perished. Rohit sharma is fully out of form guy.....
