England star Kevin Pietersen Exiled showed what his country lacks the controversial slugger hit a brilliant century of Surrey, in a championship match against Somerset County on Tuesday.
Pietersen is struggling to save his international career after being dismissed by England following a dispute over controversial texting 32-year-old sent to South Africa players during the recent Test series.
No sign that England captain Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower are willing to forgive Pietersen to criticize in the texts, the South Africa-born player has been consigned to the county cricket action for the rest of the season.
And, with England in action against South Africa in the second one-day international in Southampton, Pietersen took the opportunity to underline his talent with outstanding entries from 163 to only 168 balls.
Pietersen broke the Somerset attack to all parts of Taunton, reaching 20 fours and three sixes, to secure his second County Championship century of the season.
Step 50 of 66 balls and 100 off 116 as Surrey recovered 73-3 on the first day of the tournament the first division.
Pietersen was the last man out, caught behind Jos Buttler of the bowling of Sajid Mahmood, as Surrey were dismissed for 317 in their first innings.
Surrey cricket manager Chris Adams claimed quality proved century in England and Pietersen would benefit from the solution of their problems.
"Kevin looked as good as he ever has," said Adams.
"There are unresolved issues and the sooner a solution is better for everyone, especially Kevin himself.
"My job is to make sure she's in the right mood to play well in Surrey. He has been excellent in our dressing room and worked hard in the nets."
