International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday confirmed the squads of the 12 teams participating in the ICC World Twenty20 which gets underway in Sri Lanka Sep 18.
India, champions in the inaugural edition in 2007, will have a mix of youth and experience in the team. The side led by wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has exciting players in the form of Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh, who recently recovered from a rare germ cell cancer.
Defending champions England will be led by Stuart Broad-pace bowler and will feature a strong lineup that includes eight players who were part of his triumph in last year in the Caribbean. Off-spinner Graeme Swann leads the ICC T20 rankings for bowlers while Eoin Morgan tops the list among the batsmen ranking.
Hosts Sri Lanka, Mahela Jayawardena led, will be eager to do well. The finalists of the 2009 edition, with players like Kumar Sangakkara has, Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga, will be willing to produce shows that can lead them to the latter stages of the tournament.
