Hashim Amla becomes the fastest to make 3,000 ODI runs

Hashim Amla of South Africa became the fastest player to 3,000 one-day international runs during the course of its 150 which established the Proteas' 80-run victory over England in the stadium Ageas in Southampton on Tuesday.

AMLA Bright 124-ball knock with 16 fours, saw him reach the landmark in 57 entries compared to the 69 who took Vivian West Indies' Richards, one of the all time great batsmen of cricket.

South Africa is the third one of the 10 that also includes current Proteas' coach Gary Kirsten.
